Dishing It Out

The 2007 Summer Restaurant Guide features your favorite dishes

BY SARAH ANDERT, WILL COVIELLO, DAISY DODGE, ALISON FENSTERSTOCK, BRANDON GARCIA, EMILY HOHENWARTER, LAUREN LABORDE, IAN MCNULTY and MICHAEL PATRICK WELCH

Gambit Weekly's Summer Restaurant Guide has the dish on local restaurants. From Alligator to Zucchini, the guide highlights your favorite dishes and ingredients in restaurants throughout the New Orleans area. There are old favorites at diners and corner po-boy shops and newfangled creations from creative chefs. There also are a few new restaurants added to the mix. It'll take a summer's worth of dining to explore all of the choices.

When you've found a dish or restaurant that interests you, flip to the alphabetical directory beginning on page 59 for information about hours, reservation policy and price range.

Enjoy!
