Normally Kermit does the cooking at his Thursday evening gigs at Vaughan's, with the grill smoking in the back of his truck during the first set. Ruffins and his BBQ Swingers are back in town after playing a White House barbecue attended by President Bush and members of congress. Chef Paul Prudhomme handled the cooking for the event. Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers play a couple of neighborhood gigs this week. Catch them at Le Bon Temps Roule on Tuesday and Vaughan's on Thursday. --
